As in the previous years, during the first week of September we met with pastors, partners and friends who serve in Romania for a few days of spiritual renewal, equipping, fellowship and rest, in Sinaia, central Romania.
We all fondly remembered and really missed Pastor Eugen Groza who initiated these conferences. We understand that our coming together along the years is not a coincidence, but an opportunity to serve, encourage and support each other in ministry, to become better servants of God’s Kingdom in Romania.
This year, Pastor Petru Bulica, from Bethel Baptist Church, Timisoara, led the conferencewith the theme: “The church, between relevance and faithfulness”. We looked at ways in which churches in Romania, facing new challenges of postmodernism and consumerism, need to be prepared and anchored in Scriptures. Mrs. Lavinia Tec and Patricia Runcan, also from Timisoara, led the ladies sessions following the theme: “Created and called to have an influence”. Drawing from Biblical examples as well as personal testimonies, Lavinia and Patricia, unpacked ways in which women are called to be an influence in the home, in church and in society.
In God’s goodness, we really experienced the unifying and motivating presence of the Holy Spirit. We are so grateful to all who prayed and made this time possible financially. A number of the pastors expressed their appreciation for the conference and even mentioned that this is the main network of support and connection with others they are a part of. Thank you!
Yours gratefully,
Emil Toader
