At the end of March, Mr. Mike McKeithen and the late Mr. Bill Kinschner visited the two Deborah Houses and had fellowship with the girls singing lots of songs together, one of the favorite songs being “Soon and very soon we are going to see the King”. Mike and Bill also met with the girls from the Aspirations program and took them all out for dinner one evening.
At the beginning of May Mrs. Julie Sanders and Mrs. Carol Weaver from Knoxville, TN, came to be acquainted with the girls and through a lesson from Ephesians taught them that they are chosen, blessed and adopted by God and sealed through the Holy Spirit. They also did a craft to remember this lesson better. The girls enjoyed their time together and were so blessed to be taught that they are so loved by the Lord.
Also at the beginning of May we had several friends over for a short visit: Jeff & Deb Normand, Missio International Development Committee Members from Perrysburg, OH; Mike & Darlene McKeithen, MI board members from Atlanta, GA; Lois Rosenberry, member of MI’s Audit Committee and her daughter Jennifer; Julie Sanders & Carol Weaver from Knoxville, TN; Debbie Clarke and Aileen Bowman from Northern Ireland. They all had a barbecue at Deborah House 2 with all the girls and the staff . Even if the weather was not great, the girls appreciated all the love everyone showed them. We rejoiced together with the ones who celebrated their birthdays recently and enjoyed a lovely cake.
The following day Mrs. Debbie Clarke & Mrs. Aileen Bowman surprised the girls taking them bowling and out for dinner. It was great to play and rejoice together.
We are so blessed and thankful for all our friends who visit and are part of this ministry. May the Lord bless you all!
